DMIRS warns on shock wave

WESTERN Australia’s Department of Mining, Industry Regulation and Safety has released a safety bulletin following a spate of injuries from ruptured aluminium air conditioning flushing canisters on mine sites across the state.

The flushing canisters contain a solvent that is used to clean and flush residue or contaminants from vehicles' air conditioning systems. The solvent is collected with a standard nitrogen gas cylinder....
