Coal price capped at $125/t

NATIONAL cabinet has endorsed a federal government proposal to cap the price of coal at $125 per tonne temporarily after it agreed to pay $1.5 billion in targeted subsidies to households and businesses and pay compensation to New South Wales and Queensland governments for foregone royalties.
