Activists continue blockade of Brisbane and Melbourne ports

ONCE again the Port of Brisbane in Queensland and Port Melbourne in Victoria have been blocked by activist network Blockade Australia, marking the second time the activist group has shut down the ports in as many days as part of a national protest.

Climate activist Munro Monroe, 26, blocked Webb Dock Rd, in front of the Port of Melbourne gates.

On Monday it protested on the Kooragang Rail Bridge which delayed the delivery of thousands of tonnes of coal to the Port of Newcastle in New South Wales.
