QMI issues warning on underground coal HPIs

QUEENSLAND chief inspector of coal mines Jacques Le Roux has warned site senior executives and underground coal mine managers that they should maintain reporting standards on methane exceedances and the removal of personnel from underground operations.

A key area where reporting appears to be inconsistent is when methane has been discovered.
