Court rules Narrabri climate change objections invalid

THE NEW South Wales Land and Environment Court has dismissed judicial review proceedings over the State Significant Development Consent granted to Whitehaven Coal’s Narrabri Stage 3 Extension project by the NSW Independent Planning Commission on April 1 2022.

The proceedings sought to invalidate the consent on climate change-related grounds.
