Robots rising at Cloudbreak

FORTESCUE Metals Group has moved a step closer to becoming the world’s first iron ore operation to have a fully autonomous haulage fleet with the first Caterpillar 789D trucks fitted with autonomous haulage in operation at its Cloudbreak mine.

This is part of the rollout of 38 autonomous trucks at the mine. The conversion of FMG's fleet to autonomous haulage will result in 175 trucks being fitted with the autonomous haulage system by mid-2020....
