A TECHNOLOGY that can tell, virtually in a glance, where the high grade ore is in a dig face is about to be put to work in BHP’s iron ore mines.

Called Oresense, the technology uses artificial intelligence, computer vision, LiDAR and hyperspectral analysis in real time to discern where the ore transition zones are.
