Caterpillar buying Minetec for US$14M

COMMUNICATIONS specialist Codan has agreed to sell its Minetec subsidiary, which has become an important part of Caterpillar’s Minestar system for underground mining to the US mining equipment maker for US$14 (A$18) million.

Minetec helps underground miners get visibility of their operations.
