Applications for free METS accelerator program close July 6.

Called Quantum TX the accelerator has been commissioned by mining equipment, technology and services sector incubator METS Ignited and the Queensland government.

Applications for the free Quantum TX program close on July 6.

The accelerator is designed to build the capability and networks to grow businesses and collaboration.

It is running a four-month on line program using speakers and coaches from a range of areas, including workshops or engagement sessions with key representatives from major resources players including BHP, Roy Hill, Woodside Energy, Adani, Rio Tinto, AMIRA, South32, Robotics Australia Group and CSA Global.

The workshops will cover:

  • Challenges and opportunities in mining company supply chains;
  • Sector trends and challenges in mining, energy and resources;
  • Cross-sector supply chain applicability and opportunities;
  • Trends in robotics and automation, digital and data, and sustainability and responsible mining;
  • Strategic positioning for growth in the supply chains post COVID-19;
  • Building a value proposition for better corporate engagement;
  • Export readiness and international expansion planning;
  • Driving growth through strategic positioning and digital marketing;
  • Investment readiness and effective capital strategies; and
  • Professional communications, planning and leadership.

The program culminates in a demonstration day and pitch event including key market influencers, corporate technology and procurement heads, plus potential investors or collaboration partners.

METS Ignited CEO Adrian Beer, said now more than ever, programs such as Quantum TX were vital to supporting METS businesses and other innovative companies that played a critical role in driving technology and innovation for Australia's mining industry and other key sectors.

He said METS Ignited was proud to partner with the Queensland government to deliver programs such as Quantum TX to strengthen local METS companies and ensure those companies and the broader industry could realise the full commercial potential of their innovations.
