Air Karumba

RESIDENTS in the remote town of Karumba, in Queensland’s Gulf of Carpentaria, will have access to weekly air services until the end of 2019 after the town was included on the regulated Gulf air route flown by Regional Express Airlines.

Karumba is home to the Century zinc mine. Rex will fly a 34-seat Saab 340 B Plus aircraft into Karumba twice a week, under a contract with the Department of Transport and Main Roads, till 2019's end....
