THE Queensland government is suing an ammonium nitrate trucking company for $7.8 million in damages after a crash in 2014 on a southwest highway that caused two massive explosions that injured eight people. That is despite two government-initiated inquiries already clearing the truck and its driver from blame.

The government has launched a lawsuit in the Brisbane Supreme Court against trucking company Kalari, road train driver Anthony Eden and insurer Dornoch for damages after the road train explosion that
