End of a FIFO era

THEY were the somewhat ungainly looking four-engined planes that ferried thousands of miners to and from site. Now the time of the Avro RJ100 has ended with the final fly-in, fly-out flight using the aircraft, VH-NJE, touching down in Adelaide to a water cannon salute on June 3.
