The two-year Illawarra Coal contracts will start in September and the eight-month Crinum contract for the BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) starts in late August.
Delta SBD CEO Stephen Bizzaca said: “The award of these contracts is proof of our ability to provide value added services in a highly competitive market and reinforces our long term, successful relationship with both Illawarra Coal and BMA.
“These contracts also underpin our potential to expand our services to both West Cliff and Crinum mines in the future.”
The Illawarra Coal contracts are for secondary support and mine services at Appin and supplementary labour at both the Appin and West Cliff mines.
Current contracts for the Appin Area 9 expansion project (roadway development and excavation/civil) will continue.
Two existing contracts at the Appin mine will terminate at the end of August 2014.
The Crinum contract will involve three consecutive recoveries and installations of the longwall conveyors.
