ESB recommends incentives to prevent early closure of coal-fired powered plants

THE Energy Security Board’s final advice for a post-2025 market design for the National Electricity Market has been handed to energy ministers, which includes recommending subsidising coal-fired power to maintain a reliable electricity supply.
