The single point, programmable lubricator was designed also to increase plant safety and allow system maintenance workers more time to devote to other important projects. The company said the units will extend the overall life of conveyor components.

Superior’s release, unlike other automatic grease systems, is temperature independent and can be used in applications with a wide temperature range, anywhere from -4 degrees Fahrenheit to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

The ambient temperature is regularly measured by a built-in sensor on the unit and the control unit then calculates required gas generation based on the data it receives to maintain a continuous, controlled discharge.

The lubricators are ideal for single-point lubrication use on rollers and sliding bearings, shaft seals and chains, Superior said.

The greaser also has a reusable control unit, a lubricant canister filled with 4.4 ounces of grease and a protection cover.

Discharge settings on the units can be anywhere from one to 12 months, and they require no assembly or special tools.

Headquartered in Morris, Minnesota, Superior Industries has two manufacturing plants in Arizona and Georgia.
