Tunnel Radio

Tunnel Radio says it has positioned itself as a leading-edge company which prides itself in providing customers with customized products providing a true all-in-one solution.

“We invite you to stop by and talk with our knowledgeable sales staff to learn how easy it is to deploy or consolidate our state-of-the-art communications, tracking and gas sensing technology seamlessly into your current system,” it says.

“Our all-in-one solution for your communication and tracking needs includes the Ultracomm digital and network-capable UHF/VHF communication system; the MineAx wireless RFID personnel and asset tracking UHF/VHF; and the MultiHop tracking reader for complete wireless mesh deployment of personnel tracking.”

Vital Alert

Vital Alert Communication will be joining its partner Becker Wholesale Mine Supply at Minexpo 2012, which will mark the official release of the [Mine Safety and Health Administration-pending] CanaryLink-Intrinsically Safe, through-the-earth two-way communication system.

“CanaryLink-IS was developed specifically to assist underground coal mine operators comply with the regulations set out in the MINER [Mine Improvement and New Emergency Response] Act,” the company says.

“As new fully wireless two-way communication systems become commercially available, operators will be required to implement these systems in place of the currently accepted alternatives.

“CanaryLink-IS, compared to existing MSHA-approved through-the-earth systems, is a small, lightweight and mobile system that has the ability to communicate via voice and text message.

“Approach us at our booth to inquire about our through-the-earth capabilities, along with Becker Wholesale Mine Supply’s full line of mine communications products.

“We look forward to meeting you in Las Vegas.”

Voith Turbo

Voith will once again exhibit products for both above and below-ground mining applications. Of specific interest will be Voith’s new hydrodynamic XL Profile, which was launched earlier this year.

Voith says the XL Profile increases the torque density of the coupling, enabling transmittable torque to be doubled for the same coupling diameter and enabling precise control of the output torque to provide optimized starting and load-sharing behavior.

“Aimed specifically at high powered belt conveyors with drives up to 2800 horsepower per drive, the XL Profile sets the new standard for compact high-torque transmission hydrodynamic couplings,” Voith says.

Voith manufactures a wide range of power transmission products, including hydrodynamic variable speed turbo couplings, variable speed drives, high performance cardan shafts, torque overload couplings, Valvex MSHA-approved intrinsically safe solenoid valves and torque converters for above and below-ground mining, petroleum, petrochemical, power, utility and other industrial applications.

Voith says its power transmission products are designed and manufactured to provide optimum efficiency and reliability.

WS Tyler

WS Tyler, manufacturer of the F-Class vibrating screen, will be exhibiting at Minexpo.

It says the F-Class offers the only solution for challenging screening applications requiring minimal vibration transmission during operation.

This allows for multiple machine use within the same building or structure without the same reinforcing measures required to house traditional vibrating screens.

The F-Class is also claimed to be ideal for screening situations that require consistent, load independent performance at constant G-force in all operational modes.

WS Tyler says: “Featuring a unique and reliable, proven four-bearing technology, the F-Class minimizes structural vibration and delivers a consistent stroke, which two-bearing screens cannot provide and with right media choice virtually eliminates blinding and pegging.

“With the ability to handle the toughest applications, the F-Class is designed and built for scalping and classifying of ores, minerals, stones, sand and gravel.”
