Rio Tinto's Kestrel mine in central Queensland has awarded the tender for new longwall equipment to Joy. The equipment includes a 42 mm AFC with Parsons chain and Joy Flights and the pan-line will be Australian made. The deal includes options to upgrade the drives.
Delivery date has been set for 25 November 2000.
