CANADIAN mine safety group Northern Light Technologies has teamed with Carroll Engineering, making it a US cap lamp distributor.

West Virginia-based Carroll will offer NLT’s Genesis as part of its line, as well as Predator, Rebel, Eclipse and Messenger cap lamps.

It will also make the all-in-one Polaris model available to the industry.

"Carroll Engineering stands out from the other service companies by adding significant value via its own technical engineering team," NLT president Heidi Levitt said.

"A solution from Carroll Engineering for the needs of mining companies is in many cases truly a unique, customized offering.”

Carroll Engineering and sister company Delta Electric have a network of 11 distribution centers and miner care support offices across the US.

It also has a coal mining services business unit for sales, distribution and service.

NLT also announced late last week that its line of cap lamp systems had become part of the Becker Wholesale Mine Supply line.

"We are thrilled that Becker Wholesale will be representing our cap lamps," Levitt said.
