Staff Reporter

According to The Associated Press, the accident occurred around 4am Wednesday at an intersection in Logan county.

The driver was cited for failing to maintain control of the truck, which spilt around four tons of coal on the road.

Police said a front loader was being used to remove the coal but some of it might have to be picked up by hand.

The road has been reopened but police are concerned that if all the coal isn’t totally removed it could prove dangerous for other drivers.
