Hosted by the Canadian mining industry and mine rescue organisations, the October 5-10 event will be held at Sheraton on the Falls on the Ontario side of the landmark.
Presentations on the conference’s itinerary include mine emergency preparedness and response planning, crisis management, non-traditional mine rescue training, mine rescue research, improved and emerging technologies, developing effective scenarios and simulations and more.
A call for papers was held earlier in the year, but the specific schedule of session has not been released.
An optional field trip will also be held on October 10-13. Attendees can visit Sudbury for mine tours, a trade show and networking events.
