IMARC, set down for September 22 to 26, will be held in Melbourne, a hub for some of the biggest organisations in the industry and will provide key opportunities for investors and company representatives to forge new, international relationships.

The co-located IMARC Expo – which is free to enter – is likely to be a major attraction for international delegates and will provide local attendees with unprecedented networking opportunities.

The conference will be well attended by trade representatives, with ministerial delegations from the Philippines, Laos and Tanzania confirming their attendance and Australia’s own Austrade facilitating an investment stream session titled “investing in Australia's resources sector – the next wave of opportunity”

IMARC is strongly supported by the Australian government with the involvement of Austrade, the Victorian state government and sponsorship from the South Australian Department of State Development, in addition to the three key industry associations: the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy; Austmine; and the Minerals Council of Australia.

IMARC Conference director Siobhan Corry said IMARC would provide a unique opportunity for businesses to showcase their innovations to a global audience, as well as access unparalleled networking prospects.

“With more than 30 countries represented, the conference’s strong international backing will give attendees the chance to access capital and expertise from the global resources industry,” Corry said.

“The program of speakers at IMARC rivals some of the world’s biggest mining conferences such as Canada’s PDAC, Chile’s EXPOMIN and China Mining.”
