Held every four years, the 2007 exhibition will be run in Sydney from September 4-7.
A number of major suppliers have already booked space including Hitachi Construction and Mining Equipment, Liebherr-Australia, LeTourneau Sales & Service, DBT Australia and Joy Mining Machinery, Reed Exhibitions’ John Gorton said.
Other suppliers to recently sign up include Valley Longwall, Juganaut, Dywidag Systems, Oldenburg-Stamler, Moxy Trucks, ESS Engineering, Austdac and Wilson Mining.
“We are now progressing with plans for a high-level mining industry conference to be held onsite alongside AIMEX 2007,” said Gorton.
Reed Exhibitions recently added Western Australia’s leading mining exhibition, Goldfields Mining Expo (GME) in Kalgoorlie, to its portfolio of mining industry exhibitions.
AIMEX 2007 will feature an increased focus on hard rock and metalliferous mining and is expected to generate an increase in the number of WA buyers coming to the eastern seaboard conference next year.
“With Reed now offering the combination of the international AIMEX show every four years – complemented by regional mining exhibitions in the key regions of central Queensland with QME, the Hunter Valley’s M&E and WA’s GME – we can offer suppliers to the industry a complete package of mining events to market their products and services,” Gorton said.
In May, AIMEX will be participating in a major promotion at Chile’s Expomin, the world’s second-largest mining exhibition, to be held from May 23-27, 2006.
