The popular conference, scheduled for October 24-26, will convene at the Green Valley Ranch Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.

State mining organizations, regulators and industry leaders are all invited to the gathering to focus on zero fatalities and injuries as well as preventing occupational illnesses in mining.

The event has also been designed to foster greater relationships and open communication between industry and federal agencies.

Among the agenda’s highlights is a full day Art of Safety workshop that will cover multiple safety topics and breakout sessions on areas such as noise control, arc flash training, ergonomic issues, machine guarding, power lift training and mobile equipment inspections.

A Sentinels of Safety Awards ceremony is also planned.
