Divestment managers Global Resource Asset Exchange said the deposits, as evaluated by Runge Mining, contained low to moderate ash PCI and thermal coal within the main target areas, with some areas showing additional coking properties.
More than 200Mt of the coal occurred within 150m of the surface.
The deposits are located in the northern Bowen Basin close to the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal and in the southern Bowen Basin close to the Port of Gladstone.
Both areas consist of two exploration permits, each with a mineral development licence granted over the initial target mining areas.
Mt Robert Coal is seeking offers for the acquisition of either or both of the resource areas.
