Industrial Scientific says the software-based service solves common problems with gas detection programs, including time-consuming maintenance tasks and a lack of visibility into the field to ensure instruments are being properly used.

Subscribers of iNet InSite receive unlimited user access to iNet Control – a web-based application accessible from any PC Web browser – along with iNet DS docking stations provided at no additional charge.

Users dock gas detectors owned by Industrial Scientific on the iNet DS docking station, which can perform various maintenance tasks.

Following this, the iNet control then provides users more understanding into the instrument and the company’s gas detection program.

Industrial Scientific chief executive officer Justin McElhattan said he was pleased with the popularity of iNet, which he believed was a great way to reinforce safe behaviour in the field.

“We are excited about the momentum that iNet is seeing in the market and the immeasurable value that it continues to provide to our customers,” McElhattan said.

INet subscribers can receive gas detection as a service for a monthly fee.
