The partnership, announced this morning, means NLT will resell and integrate Ascom's Freeset IP-DECT, FreeNET VoWiFi systems and UNITE Messaging Software Suite in the underground environment.

This is a boost for the industry as the Ascom Freeset IP-DECT and FreeNET VoWiFi systems offer customers two different technology choices when installing a standards-based onsite wireless solution.

Both technology solutions offer portable handsets that are durable with large backlit displays, hands-free operation and emergency features including man-down and no movement.
