The AFC is the third system manufactured by Longwall Associates this year.

The Robinson Run AFC can operate in excess of 3,500 TPH and has pan riding 1000 x 1750 cast sigma pan line with 400 ton connectors.

The system comprises of a Jumbo Gear Rack™ Shearer Haulage system and tensionable tail drive with 20mm stroke.

The AFC was completely manufactured in the United States.

The OEM system has been installed, commissioned and is now running at full capacity at the West Virginia Mine.

“As with all Longwall Associates equipment, this entire system integrates innovative technology and user friendly design,” Longwall Associates said.

The Robinson Run #95 mine produces coal from the Pittsburgh 8 Seam using one longwall system and four continuous mining machines. The mine has a seam height of 76 inches and produced 4,995,507 tons in 2002.
