The conference is scheduled for November 3-5 at the Wynfry Hotel in Birmingham.

The itinerary was designed for owners, operators, suppliers, miners, contractors, educators and regulators from coal as well as the metal/nonmetal sectors.

The event coordinators, including the US Mine Safety and Health Administration, have prepared keynote presentations as well as workshops, and an exhibition space will be available.

Some of the highlighted discussions include a plate lunch with speaker Sherry Perdue of Safety Performance Solutions, a morning keynote by Lhoist/Chemical Lime Montevallo Plan manager Rick Reynolds, and a question and answer panel with both safety directors and industry attorneys.
