Safety in action conference heads up to Darwin

A TWO-day Safety in Action conference will be held in Darwin for the first time on March 19-20, featuring a range of the latest related products and services from across Australia.

Over 75 exhibitors will be showcasing their latest goods in front of eager audience members at the show.

Safety in Action Darwin will also provide attendees with unique opportunities to hear from industry leaders through the extensive program of free seminars on offer.

Safe Work Australia will be hosting a one off free training session on the popular subject: “The Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals”

With previous training having sold out, this exclusive session will provide attendees with the knowledge they need to know with regards to the new labeling classification of chemicals.

Major corporate sponsor and safety management software company Myosh will present seminar sessions supported by NT WorkSafe.

Myosh managing director Adrian Manessis will lead the seminar, offering a breakdown of what safety management software is, and how it can best be utilised within an organisation.

Darwin holds the title for the territory’s healthiest job market with the largest employment sector, mining, comprising 23.4% of all Darwin industries.

The mining and energy industry production alone surpasses $2.5 billion per annum in the Darwin region.
