Strata forges distribution agreement with DSI

SUPPLIER of mine safety technologies, communication solutions and emergency refuges, Strata Worldwide, has signed a new distribution and service agreement with DSI Underground Systems to supply the North American tunnelling industry.

Under the terms of the agreement, DSI has exclusive distributorship rights, including the purchase, marketing, promotion, distribution and sales of Strata’s wireless communications, tracking and atmospheric monitoring system, Wi-Fi system and tunnelling refuge chambers.

DSI will provide installation and repair, and offer customer service and support for the products, Strata Worldwide Global Commercial Manager Ryan Fielden said.

“We are thrilled to be teaming with DSI, a strong partner with a great reputation and longtime presence in the tunnelling industry,” he said.

“With their knowledge and expertise, Strata is confident that this collaboration will be fruitful and we look forward to the future with DSI as part of our distribution network.”

Strata’s portfolio of safety products includes secondary underground roof supports, proximity detection and collision avoidance systems, wireless communications, tracking and gas detection and emergency refuge chambers.

The company also provides full turn-key product installation, training, maintenance, service and repair.
