Frontier guards were able to rescue the leopard after it became trapped in the mine’s drainage tank, reports The Gaurdian.

Rescuers retrieved the distressed beast with fishing nets and rope when it was found struggling to stay afloat in the half-full tank.

Snow leopards are rarely seen in populated areas. It was believed this one was searching for food onsite.
