The firm’s quarterly report said a record monthly production of 62,383t was achieved in December.
More than 90% of the quarterly production was PCI coal.
Cockatoo also welcomed the full restoration of operations at the mine in September, following the December 2010 floods.
During the quarter the company appointed Andrew Lawson as its new chief executive officer and Lee O’Dwyer as company secretary.
It also entered into a new $85 million loan facility with Credit Suisse and Macquarie Bank and reached an agreement to share in the funding of all Bowen Basin project expenditures on an equity sharing basis with its joint venture partner JFE Shoji Trade Corporation.
