Ellton expands mine services

ELLTON Group recently expanded its Mine Services division with the appointment of a new mechanical engineer to head the group and spearhead an effort to offer on-site engineering and maintenance services to longwall mines.

Ellton expands mine services

Ross McCormick comes to Ellton with a wealth of experience from both the coal and grain industries.

McCormick’s engineering career began with BHP Central Engineering and included Clutha (BP Coal) and Amcor Paper Mills before moving to Graincorp Operations.

With Graincorp he had overall maintenance responsibility covering 360 country sites and eight seaboard terminals.

McCormick’s expertise lies in maintenance and reliability engineering, as well as materials handling engineering.

His last major project at Graincorp was to successfully convert three independent maintenance databases across the group into a single, integrated SAP plant maintenance system.

He was appointed Ellton group mechanical engineer in mid-June.
