Our client, a Gold exploration, evaluation and development company with a number of international projects, is seeking to identify a Principal Mining Engineer to play a pivotal role in the company’s growth and expansion as they seek to develop a number of mines and become a highly profitable international Gold mining company.
Reporting direct to the CEO, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of evaluations and studies, ranging from basic evaluation and desktop scoping studies through to fully bankable feasibility studies (BFS). As the group’s principal mining engineering resource, you will have a Senior Advisory role within the group and be responsible for interfacing directly with the board.
As the vast majority of the opportunities identified by the company to date are high grade, narrow vein underground Gold projects, you will require a minimum of 20 years post graduate experience in underground mining operations; with a significant portion of this within a number of high grade underground Gold mines. Diversity of experience is essential in this role and so you will have worked a variety of mining methodologies throughout your career.
In addition to possessing highly diverse underground mining experience, you will have strong communication and influencing skills, and a demonstrable track record of success in developing mining operations within an emerging ‘non Western’ country.
