The focus of the Cougar group is to bring the IME product range back on line as an Australian owned and operated OEM with local support in NSW, Queensland and China.

The IME acquisition brings an installed base of more than 800 units worldwide. Cougar IME is now the OEM assuming all associated responsibilities. With a product range owned and operated by the world's major coal producers, Cougar IME equipment is proven to suit global coal mining needs and conditions.

Safety and efficiency gains are constantly sought by the world's miners as their operational challenges become more complex.

Cougar's existing offerings of equipment hire, repair and overhaul, secondary support systems and directional drilling are all complemented by the Cougar IME offerings of:

• Field Service and Workshop Support
• Engineering and Technical Support
• Manufacture of new equipment
• Spare Parts Sales and Support

Cougar's team is the key to its success, with more than 150 employees across the group. 

Cougar Drilling

Led by a highly motivated management team, Drilling has kicked goals since inception in October 2016. With long term services contracts in New South Wales and now Queensland, the Drill Team is looking forward to an exciting year. The business and current fleet of five drill systems will need to grow through 2018 to keep up with the demand.    

The design and engineering arm of the drilling business is also on track for a big year. Collaboration with some heavy hitting suppliers has enabled Drilling to offer the latest technology in drill systems, with domestic and International rig sales now on the table.
