In early December another overhaul project was due to commence on Oaky North’s spare AFC, BSL crusher and boot end.

“As a result of the tremendous support shown by our Queensland customers plans are already under way to extend the workshop by adding another five bays which would almost double the workshop capacity,” the company said.

“The Mackay staff now number over 30 people to support our Queensland customers with overhauls, parts, service and engineering.”

In addition, from February 1, 2001, Bob Sherack, currently group manager-conveyors, will be moving to Mackay to take up the position of Queensland general manager. ILN will speak to Sherack about his new role in the new year.
