The survey, conducted by Velseis, totalled 50km of traverses over 12 lines about 3km apart using the MiniSOSIE method.

Cockatoo said this method had given “excellent resolution of the coal-bearing strata and geological structured had been identified”

The company will begin drilling to validate results this month. Drilling is scheduled to finish mid-March.

The Dingo project covers 28,270ha on the south-eastern flank of the Bowen Basin, with the northern boundary about 3km south of the Blackwater railway.
