BHEL commissions 250MW coal plant in Gujurat

BHARAT Heavy Electricals has commissioned a 250 megawatt coal-based thermal power plant in Gujurat.

The unit has been commissioned at Gujurat State Electricity Corporation’s Sikka Thermal Power Station by BHEL on an engineering, procurement and construction basis.

Sikka TPS is near Jamnagar, one of Gujurat’s major industrial towns.

This is the second 250MW unit to be commissioned by BHEL at Sikka TPS.

It commissioned the first 250MW unit in March.

There are another two 120MW units that were also supplied by BHEL in operation at Sikka.
