Shenhua boosts output

CHINA’S biggest coal producer, China Shenhua Energy Company, increased coal production to 51.8 million tonnes in the March quarter.

Shenhua boosts output

Quarter-on-quarter production rose 16% while March output jumped 25% to 19.2Mt compared to March 2008.

Sales for the quarter remained steady at 57Mt.

Of the sales, 4Mt were exported, a 13% fall from the March 2008 quarter. However, March monthly exports were up 167% at 1.6Mt.
