The junior defined a 103.53-million-tonne measured resource at a stripping ratio of 4.2:1.0 at its Guluguba project in the Surat Basin.

Exploration at its first target area of EPC 1041A (Miles) proved up multi-seam targets through exploration drilling of 16 open holes.

During the quarter Cockatoo also acquired Surat Basin tenements Horse Creek and Dogwood Creek for $3 million.

A data review and 3D modelling of its Wonbindi tenement in the Bowen Basin has defined a preliminary "anticline" target zone of 26Mt. Cockatoo is working towards bringing the resource to measured JORC status.
