Cleaning up at the show

OKAY so Minexpo is over but there is still so much to get through. Take these two conveyor products from Superior Industries.

The MD Exterra belt.

One was its double tube design mine duty idlers.

This design has a 20% higher load rating than the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association standard, which improves service life.

The inner tube insulates the bearing from vibration, reducing misalignment and increasing the life of the bearing.

As the outer shell wears the inner tube maintains the structural integrity of the roller.
The double tube models are available in belt widths up to 3m and come equipped with bearing sizes up to 60mm.

Also in the conveyor line is Superior’s line of Exterra Belt Cleaners, complete with a new mine duty model.

The Mine Duty Exterra Primary Belt Cleaner is designed to solve pain points related to constant tensioning maintenance and difficult installation in tight areas.

It features a patent pending Set for Life technology that maintains constant accurate tension during the life of the blade.

Operators set the tension during installation and never have to adjust it again.

The scraper is segmented into 150mm chunks, allowing it to contour against the blade. This allows for more even wear on wide belts typically used in heavier, mine duty applications.

The Mine Duty Exterra Primary Belt Cleaner is designed for pulley larger than 500mm diameter up to 2100mm, servicing belts with widths 600mm and up.
