Running from October 4-6 at the RNA Showgrounds in Brisbane, the three-day expo will offer visitors the opportunity to attend seminars and meet with exhibitors, such as Hitachi Construction Machinery, Hastings Deering and Komatsu.

“There will be a free ‘walk in, walk out’ morning seminar program on the Thursday and Friday morning presented by a range of industry leaders and professionals,” Exhibitions and Trade Fairs event manager Maureen Ryan said.

“Seminars are open to all visitors to attend and bookings are not required.”

The first morning of seminars will focus on understanding the hazards of sourcing machinery overseas and the idea of using coastal shipping as an option for interstate transport.

The second day of the expo will focus on apprenticeships, training and recruitment, with Queensland Training Ombudsman Peter Ruhanen expected to be a keynote speaker.

Students and others interested in employment within these industries are encouraged to attend, especially as there will be opportunities for exhibitors and visitors to promote job opportunities and vacant positions.
