Most of the deals are for supplying the methane gas drainage and directional drilling systems from its subsidiary Advanced Mining Technologies.

Four of these systems will head to Shanxi Coking Coal Group’s Xishan Coal Electricity mine for $10.3 million, while another one will go to Shanxi Yangcheng Fu Yan Coal Industry Company’s Fu Yan Mine for $3.1 million.

Another three of these systems will go to Jincheng Anthracite Mining Group’s Sihe mine for $6.1 million.

China-based subsidiary Wadam Industries also secured a $2.7 million contract to supply two of Industrea’s 40-tonne roof support carriers for Shandong Guangyu Energy Company.

Industrea is broadening its exposure to China even more as it signs contracts to acquire a strata support manufacturing business in the country.

Industrea plans to expand the newly acquired facility to manufacture PJBs exclusively for China’s underground coal sector.

“We see good scope for the sale of a PJB vehicle specifically for the Chinese market where we can take the best of the Australian-based design to produce a vehicle at a price point acceptable to our Chinese customer base,” Industrea managing director and chief executive Robin Levison said.

“This latest facility further strengthens our presence on the ground in China in addition to our existing product support centres.”

Industrea shares are down half a cent to 33.5c this morning.
