Waltan – which has been appointed Enerpac specialised bolting distributor in South Australia – has more than 25 years of experience in bolting solutions for companies in sectors such as mining and energy.

Enerpac national bolting manager Pat Molloy said: “Waltan founder Wally McDonald was one of the first leaders in the torque industry to develop the benefits of advanced fastening technologies as companies increasingly moved away from time-consuming, hazardous and often inaccurate manual fastening methods.

“The business he has built up – and the relationships he has forged with major accounts throughout the state – is based on the supply of outstanding product with promptly available spare parts and excellent technical support throughout the state, including on-site bolting surveys to ensure the best tooling options are offered for individual company needs.”

Waltan also offers training for operators in all facets of flange management, as well as periodic inspection and calibration services.

These services seek to complement the technologies and services offered by Enerpac throughout Australasia by Enerpac bolting and territory managers working with a network of distributors established over more than 50 years.

“Waltan will be given the full support of our national network and also have direct access to the expertise that has Enerpac has built up in bolting technology and applications expertise through 28 offices in 22 countries,” Molloy said.
